I recently worked on a logo redesign process for the blog mrsandmomma.com by Eve. She wanted something simple and fun that best represents her blog which she classifies as a ‘mommy and lifestyle’ site.
This was how her logo originally looked like.
The design process starts from working with the same font, trying out different placements and colour coordinations to get the best result. The next step in the process is an experimentation of different fonts and placements, while still keeping to the same colour palette. This first draft has to undergo a lot of changes and edits before we can craft the final logo.
My client decided to go with a rainbow gradient logo, which reflects her blog best. But she wanted a different placement of text from her original logo. Instead of just making the logo so flat and long, we decided to use an uppercase ‘M’ for both ‘mrs’ and ‘momma’. This was the final result.
I also designed her name card and the final outcome of the card is so pretty (she used glitter paper), I am so happy that she’s happy with her new card! 🙂 Leading up to that, we also created a Media Kit for 2016 that follows her style and colour scheme, so that she can approach her clients with confidence.
